The "Temporaries" in Hotel Therme
During the redesign of the 40 rooms in the main building, Peter Zumthor designated these as "Temporaries" as a reference to the entire renewal process. The rooms have long been completed, but the working title has remained.
The basic configuration featuring the black lacquered furniture designed by Peter Zumthor is the same in all rooms, and yet every room is different: colourful kilim or gabbeh carpets, 20th century furniture classics from Eileen Gray, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Jasper Morrison, and curtains made of pure silk in every room, in different colours and matching the rugs. Guests sleep in a king-size bed with pure linen bed sheets. The chocolates in the rooms are made fresh daily in the in-house pâtisserie. Every room also has apples, flowers and Valser mineral water. A stereo system with a selection of CDs as well as a selection of books and wireless Internet access are available for guests. Bathrobes and bathing shoes are an amenity in every room, and high-quality Soglio products are also available for personal care. All Temporaries feature a spacious balcony with a view of the mountains.
Available free of charge on request: additional blankets and pillows, TV.
